Everything Short and Sweet: Update!

Hey Everyone, How are you? I hope everyone is very well.

Just an update on my progress with my jackets.

 I'm at the final stages of finishing my patterns and everything is looking great, you will see from the picture I posted of my progress.

It dosnt look like much, but its just test fabric to see how the cuts are going to look, There are few minor changes that need to be done but nothing serious. 

I am still in the progress of trying to find nice fabric, but one step at a time :)

At the moment I am doing heaps and heaps of photoshoots featuring many stylings and fashion combination ideas, so stay tuned they will be posted momentarly.

I am really really busy with my patterns for my new collection and redesigning my website, ARGH! so many ideas and not enough time in the day to execute all these wonderful things I have on my plate

  The days are just passing by, but I will be posting my fashion and styling tips soon and I will be hopefully starting my Etsy shop this week or next week.

Styling Tips for Men

 Don't be afraid to use accessories and colour GUYS!!!

For those who think that there are very limited accessories for guys, well think again, There are plenty of them everywhere! :) you just have to look around and open your pretty eyes.

If you think about it you have watches, belts and ties (which are the most common of all boring business men) but there are a lot of other great options out there that can be experimented with and revived from previous fashion eras. Items such as bows, braces, hats, glasses, umbrellas, broaches, appliques are not very common these days. So take advantage of the of times of previous eras to accessorize and customize your unique style.

Try to combine nice fitted clothes (jackets, pants and shirts) which you know you look good in, and don't be afraid to experiment with some nice accessories which can give you your own unique and trendy style of look. Remember guys, if you feel good in what you are wearing you will stand out and look great,"not to mention more girls will notice you" ;)

Look Expensive, Feel Fashionable, Its Affordable

A few tips for girls and boys. 

Girls! try wearing some nice strong colours with whatever you are wearing. Especially with the colder months coming closer, the elaborate colours that were once summer are slowly dying off into greys, blacks and whites of boring old coats and sweaters that we dig up every winter of every year.

 We all know that the colder seasons of the year are never really the best time for seeing colour and can be quite depressing. Why not experiment wearing more vibrant colours during winter and carry on that sunshine vibe all through out winter, guaranteed compliments from experience. ;)

Heres some ways...

I've exhibited some examples on how you can optimize your styling with colours.

 Looking expensive at an affordable budget is on many peoples minds these days especially with the crisis and everything going on in the economy. However looking stylish and expensive is very easy to achieve and I'm going to tell you how.

Prepare to shop at secondhand shops: 

 You really never know what you can find, you can find many great quality brands such as DKNY, HUGOBOSS, CHANEL, GUCCI and other great brands, I can't stress it enough what opportunity is out there in second hand shops.

 Look for sales: 

 There are always sales on during the year and the end of seasons, Its a real money saver if you did your shopping during the year and the benefits are that you have a nice collection by the time Winter hits.

Shop at branded outlet stores: 

 As the title says, however it is never always drastically cheap but you can find some good deals

The internet: 

I don't think I need to get into great details but you have ebay and other sales sites. 

I do personally recommend buying off etsy.com for branded second hand fashion. 

Then...

 Find some nice accessories ( like scarfs, bows, broaches, ties, hats, gloves, and etc) and play :)

 With the tips I have provided, you can make a stylish and sophisticated wardrobe in no time at an affordable price.

  The most important thing to experiment with different styles of clothes, from old to modern pieces of fashion.

Styling of the day: CraZy "Hey Micky"

I always love experimenting with different combinations of styling

 But I must admit I love
 stupid crazy STYLING :P

I sometimes buy things that everybody thinks "realllllllyyyy??? you're gonna wear that???" 

But for pieces like this one I usually get compliments,

 "At the end of the day its not what you are wearing, its how you wear it!" 

I LOVE THIS OLD SCHOOL MICKEY MOUSE JUMPER!, AND PANTS ( they are old skiing pants), but I just love the colours.

Styling of the day: Vintage! "School Girl"

Hey!!!

Bringing you another segment of vintage/retro styling.
I found 80% of the outfit at a second hand shop/op shop in Ljubljana and it cost me less than 6 euros for a woolen jumper, skirt and white shirt, which was a bargain!
I already owned the shoes and stockings to make the styling complete.
I thought the jumper was really cute with embroidered designs of wheat flowers completed with a warm beige colour.

Its a stylish modern retro look which I like.

Shoes: Old vintage shoes painted gold and knee stockings

On another note....

On the weekend my husband and I traveled to Trieste, Italy and then to Ljubljana Slovenia to check out the trends in fashion.

Our observation:

If you are not familiar with Italians and fashion, they love their brands and you can see that a lot of money has been poured into stylish fashionable clothes and accessories from brands such as Versace, Armani to Gucci.
Black and gold seems to be in fashion with the help of big sun glasses, designer handbags and various other kitchy and blingy styled accessories and clothes.
With European winter on our door step I am expecting to see a lot of Italians fitting out their wardrobes with new items of high fashion.
   
On the other hand Ljubljana seems to be on a lower key in comparison to Trieste when it concerns brands.
There wasn't much high fashion brands to be seen however, the people are stylish and elegant (which i like).
All in all I think its not how much you spend, its how smart you are as a shopper to create a nice style at an affordable price.

On one other note...

The patterns for my jackets are coming around nicely, unfortunately I didn't take any pictures today because my camera went flat just as I was about to take some photos...
I am pretty happy with my progress at this stage, and by the end of the week the patterns should be finalized.
I am currently looking into quality fabrics for the pieces, so if you know of any decent online fabric stores please let me know.

Styling of the day: Vintage! "Bad Teacher"

Welcome back!

Bringing you another segment of vintage/retro styling and fashion.

Similar to my previous post but with out the blue jumper.

This reminded me of how my primary(elementary) school teacher dressed up everyday back in the day, except she was in her 60's. Thinking back now she always had a decent fashion sense and Its great to see it all coming back with the help of modern styling and fashion.

Styling of a day, Vintage! "Everyday Girl"

So I had a little bit of inspiration and the urge to experiment with some vintage clothes and as you can see the results :)
I already had the skirt and shirt and I found the jumper at my local second hand/op shop.
I immediately fell in love with the colour and the cut of the design, and with an affordable price tag I just couldn't say no.
It didn't take me too long to work out a stylish vintage combination, it just fell together by itself very nicely. 
All in all I'm pretty happy with the results :)

P.s I get a real buzz out of dressing up and styling and I have decided that I will be doing regular dress ups for vintage and retro styling, but until next time :)

Being Creative

So here is a small update of what I've been designing. 

I have been working very hard on some cool new jacket patterns and designs, so far I have 12 patterns.

They are a combination of Male and Female Jacket patterns; this is my first time designing male fashion, so I cant wait to see the end results.

I will be posting regularly on here as well as facebook and behance on the working progress of the jackets so you can follow it :) 

On another note I went shopping with my husband yesterday and we came across the local second hand fashion store and they had a massive sale on "3 EUROS FOR EVERYTHING" and I love to scout the second hand fashion stores for some cool stuff, sometimes they have some really awesome! branded stuff for really cheap.

Anyway I found this 1 piece Adidas track suit, authentic!, It must be worth at least 100 euros. And I loved it and I gave it to my husband, and now he is very happy lol.

And this Mr Anakleto :) he is my fashion design overseer...you will be seeing more of him

Something new...

A-Mash is in the process of forming look-book/modeling agency here in Slovenia with our main photographer Ramaida Osim.
The other day we had a dry run of styling and photography, it was a great new start for something new and we bring you the results (down below).

We are currently in the process of branding and setting up an institution for modals with in Slovenia.
In the not to distant future there should be a name and a website accompanied by the main social network pages.
There will be more pictures to come but for now check out the A-Mash facebook page for more of the pictures coming soon.

Autumn 2012

On the 8th of September A-Mash had a photo shoot with some new and old clothes from the A-Mash sample range.

Raimaida the photographer knew of an awesome yet peaceful place by a calm and picturesque lake out of Maribor in a small village by the name of Lenart.

We equipped ourselves with party streamers, balloons, smoke bombs, make up, beer, a dog and 2 stunning models and we took off to Lenard.

We got to our destination around 2pm and started setting the scene with balloons, fashion and crazy make up. The sun was really strong at that time of our arrival and we decided to wait until 5pm to capture the sunset vibe, and in the mean time we took some photos in the shadows.

Everything went great and it wasn't until the sunset hit and the vibe was electrified with smoke bombs going off and the vibrant colours of the fabric and smoke hitting the sun light.

It was a great shoot and here are some of the results.
